Three cheers for Friday and a new Pocket Talk episode!
On today’s show, I am speaking with the amazing, Rachel Del Grosso of Las Vegas, Nevada. An avid writer all of her life, Rachel transitioned into pocket page scrapbooking when she and her husband, Dom where expecting their son, DJ. Rachel was on the 2014 Becky Higgins Project Life Creative Team and is currently on the 2015 Kellie Stamps Design Team. In this episode, Rachel opens up about struggling to find her personal style, how she saves time and money completing her weekly pocket page spreads and how she includes the small details of her week.
For more information about Rachel or her shop, please visit her blog, Big City Quiet.

Love being able to hear the creative process of other pocket scrappers. I’ve totally lost my mojo (probably die to 2 small toddlers!) so this kinda makes me want to dive into it again 🙂 yay Canadians eh! 😉
sounds like a perfect podcast! It’s evening here already (kids in bed!): I’m going to listen NOW 🙂 thanks ladies!
Wonderful episode and it was particularly exciting because I live in Las Vegas and I don’t know a single person who scrapbooks or does Project Life here. Rachael’s pages are so beautiful, I love the simple and modern style.
I love Rachel’s style! Can’t wait to listen.
Gonna download and listen! Rachel’s one of my favorite Project Lifers. 😉
Love Rachel’s Designs, so pretty!
Oh my goodness! This was such an awesome podcast to listen to. BigCityQuiet and Cheers, Jess (back when it was life on lee ave) were two of the first blogs I found when I first started pocket page scrapbooking the end of 2013. I still feel like I’m struggling to find my style, but I’m definitely getting there. Any time I feel the need for inspiration to simplify and refocus on what matters most (the photos and words), I turn to both your blogs. To hear that you don’t like everything you make, makes me feel so much better about my books and encourages me to just keep documenting. Love both your styles. Thanks for putting your work out there for me to swoon over. 🙂 @Gngrsnps3 on instagram
Such a great podcast! So fun to here Rachel on!
I’m so enjoying this podcast! I just found Rachel’s blog this year and I love her pages and it was a treat to listen to her – and it made me feel better that she messes up and starts over on spreads too! keep up the good work Jess.
Thanks for a other great podcast, and for introducing me to Rachel. I visited her website and really like her style. One comment/thought really struck home for me. I have enjoyed looking at PL posts, even going so far as to purchase a kit (many years ago ) because it seemed like a great way to capture daily life. However, I didn’t follow through with it because my children were grown and out of the house, so I didn’t feel that I had anything of importance to document.
You’ve given me the urge to drag out my supplies and give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration /push!
I love that you have started a podcast and that it’s about pocket scrapbooking! It has helped me get back in the groove. I enjoyed Rachel’s contribution to the recent BPC class.
Thanks for keeping my company while I ran errands today. I really love listening to the show, Jess. And it was great to learn more about Rachel and her process. I’m sitting down at my computer right now to work on my pages for last week.
I just listened to the last two podcasts and now caught up. Sure do enjoy the pocket talks.
